Working Together
Every client and family comes with a unique set of strengths, challenges, and experiences. Our work together can take different forms depending on what brings you here and what feels most important to you. Counseling provides space for reflection, therapeutic exploration, and change; coaching offers practical, goal-oriented support; and consultation helps caregivers better understand and support their child. Below are a few ways we might work together.
-
60-minute sessions
Individual psychotherapy provides a space to talk, reflect, process emotions, and better understand yourself and your experiences. Depending on your needs, we might explore emotions, relationships, and identity; navigate anxiety or life transitions; understand recurring patterns; recognize strengths; and develop greater self-awareness. Together, we'll work toward greater understanding and, when helpful, translate insight into meaningful action.
Family psychotherapy provides a space for caregivers and children to work together to better understand one another, strengthen communication, work through challenges, and develop shared strategies. Our work might focus on family dynamics and relationships, grief or life transitions, school-related concerns, or other concerns affecting the family as a whole.

Coaching provides practical, goal-oriented support tailored to each client's strengths and needs. Depending on what brings you in, our work may draw from one or more areas:
⧫ Executive Function: organization, planning and prioritizing, time management, task initiation, routines, problem-solving, and building greater self-awareness and independence.
⧫ Academic: coursework, reading and writing support, study and learning strategies, self-advocacy, and identifying and accessing resources.
⧫ Wellness: routines, transitions, stress management, balance, personal goals, mindfulness, relationships and social communication skills, and building confidence in everyday life.

Brief communication with parents and caregivers is often a natural part of my work with children and adolescents. When more time is needed, caregiver consultation provides dedicated time to better understand the whole child, recognize patterns, and develop practical strategies related to emotional well-being, learning, executive functioning, school, and everyday life. When relevant, I can also help families navigate educational supports and collaborate with physicians, clinicians, teachers, tutors, or other professionals to help the child's team work toward shared goals.

From time to time, I offer small groups centered on shared interests, developmental stages, or common experiences. Groups may provide opportunities for connection while also supporting social communication skills, executive functioning, emotional awareness, transitions, stress management, parenting, or other areas of growth. If there is a topic you would like to explore with others, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Clarity Coaching & Counseling is a private-pay practice, and fees vary by service and session length. For psychotherapy services, I can provide a superbill that clients may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are also available. Contact me for my current Services & Fees sheet.
Sessions are available in my Providence office, virtually, and, when appropriate, in schools, homes, or other community settings. We can explore the format that makes the most sense for our work together.
