My Story
For more than twenty-five years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and schools as a counselor, learning specialist, educator, administrator, and consultant. Although my roles have changed over time, the heart of my work has remained consistent. I have always been drawn to understanding people, recognizing patterns, and helping others make sense of complexity so they can reconnect with their strengths, recognize new possibilities, and lead more fulfilling lives.
Early in my career as a school counselor, I became fascinated by the ways learning, emotions, behavior, relationships, and the environment influence one another. As my role expanded into learning support, I also designed and taught a high school psychology course focused on helping students better understand themselves and their development, with an emphasis on positive psychology. Over the years, much of my professional training has focused on ADHD, executive functioning, anxiety, mindfulness, and practical strategies that help people flourish both in and outside of school.
I hold a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University, where I also completed specialized training in school adjustment counseling. More recently, I earned a master’s degree in education leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, and have completed training in the RULER social emotional learning approach through the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. This background continues to shape the way I approach each client and family.
Today, my work naturally blends counseling, coaching, learning support, and consultation. Whether I'm supporting a child, a college student, a parent, or an adult navigating a life transition, I bring these different areas of experience together to understand the whole person and determine what might be most helpful. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct, balancing curiosity and reflection with practical strategies and meaningful action.
Counseling and coaching form the foundation of my practice. Some clients need a place to talk, process emotions, reflect on their experiences, or simply feel heard and supported. Others need help organizing daily life, strengthening executive functioning, improving communication, or navigating complicated systems. Many need both. For interested clients, we may also explore other practices, such as meditation or sound therapy, to support grounding and reflection.
Outside of my professional life, I find renewal in music, yoga, nature, and spending time with family and friends. These experiences remind me that growth unfolds through moments of presence, awareness, and connection.
I would be honored to explore whether we might be a good fit.
